The following table describes the options you have to manage object exceptions:

Find specific objects
Use the search filters to control the display and to view existing exceptions.
Available options for the Source list:
  • All: All object exceptions
  • Local: The object exceptions manually added to Deep Discovery Email Inspector
  • Web service: The object exceptions imported through the HTTP web service
  • Deep Discovery Director: The object exceptions synchronized from Deep Discovery Director
  • Trend Vision One: The object exceptions synchronized from Trend Vision One
Add exception object
Add a new object to the exceptions list by clicking icon-add_001.jpg Add.
You can also include a note to help you better understand the object exception.

Import exception objects from CSV file
Import exception objects by clicking icon-import.jpg Import and selecting a CSV file containing exceptions.
Each line of the file must have the following format:
<type>,<object>,[source],[notes]
  • <type>: The type of object you want to add (IP address, Domain, URL, Files)
  • <object>: The IP address, domain, URL, or SHA-1 hash value you want to add to the list
  • (Optional) [source]: Use the value "local"
  • (Optional) [notes]: Any extra information in any format
Example of a valid CSV file:

Delete objects
Select one or more objects and click icon-delete.jpg Delete to delete the object exceptions.
Delete all objects
Click icon-delete.jpg Delete All to delete all object exceptions.
Export objects
Select one or more objects and click icon-export.jpg Export to export the selected objects.
Export all objects
Click icon-export.jpg Export All to export the entire exceptions list to a CSV file.

Important
  • If Deep Discovery Email Inspector is registered Deep Discovery Director 3.0 (or later), Deep Discovery Email Inspector synchronizes object exceptions from Deep Discovery Director and overwrites existing object exceptions from Apex Central.
  • You cannot add or import objects of the type Sender manually.
